It was a sunny Sunday and we were off to Bodiam Castle! The reason why I was so excited was because the Castle was in ruins and was built by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge one of the former Knights of Edward III, to protect the area form the French in the Hundred Years’ War. When we had finished eating and dressing up we went to the car and went to Bodiam. I opened the car door to see a huge Castle with an equally large moat surrounding the outside of the castle.
When we walked closer we could see a couple of games set up for people to play if they paid. When I saw a place where you could use bows and arrows to aim at targets I rushed over to see and asked my dad if I could try.
He said yes so I put on a special glove and got a bow and arrow and started to aim by my left had side of me I had an instructor who was telling me what to do. After we visited the vast ruins of the humongous castle that used to be there and had a picnic on the hill were Alexandra and I rolled down the hill for some time until we had to go home.
